I got spoiled with another newborn last week. World, please meet little Atticus, who had, quite frankly, the most beautiful baby skin I have ever seen!

I put out a casting call for newborns after the Keri Meyers workshop I attended a few weeks ago. The response was great! Lots of parents offering to help me build my portfolio. I’m very thankful! The first newborn I had in my home studio was little Aiden. Jim actually works with Aiden’s dad at the firehouse so it was nice hanging out with a fellow firefighter family. Not only are there work ties, but I also did family portraits for mom and dad at their wedding reception two years ago. Love how things come full circle![]()
I’ve decided that I absolutely love working with newborns. It’s time consuming and physically demanding [I need a protein shake afterwards!] but the images that fill my computer screen in the hours after literally take my breath away.

This past Saturday I held my first ever mini sessions. The idea of a “Mommy and Me” theme came to mind when I realized Mother’s Day was right around the corner. If these mamas are anything like me, there aren’t too many photos of them with their children. I can’t tell you how many awesome pictures my kids have with their dad. But me? Yeah, not so much! What I would give for a session like this with my babies. One day![]()
These children were awesome to work with and it was so nice getting together with amazing moms. I loved working on these images because I know what exactly goes into being a parent and the emotion that wells up inside of you every time you look at your child.
Enjoy!

Aw, they’re all beautiful!!
as one of the mama’s in the above pics, I am so happy with the results – thank you so much for capturing these images for me.
Thank you so much for doing these! I love our photos and have no idea how to choose which will get hung up at home–I’ll have to find spots for all of them! These have made a fabulous Mother’s Day gift
